You’ve made the decision to install a court, but what’s the next step? Deciding on what type of court surface works best for you. Below, we review three options: our Post Tensioned Concrete Courts, Cushion Extreme, and Performance Court 300.
New tennis courts generally take 30 to 60 days to construct, depending on the conditions. We investigate soil conditions, town permits, and the time of year to determine how long it will take to build your court. Many of our courts are multi-purpose, so you can enjoy more sports than just tennis including basketball, soccer, and pickleball.
Post Tensioned Concrete Courts
Although more expensive than standard asphalt base courts, Post-Tensioned Concrete courts can last up to 50+ years if installed properly. The design of the court is perfect for all sports and decreases the chances of cracking, settling, and ponding. Providing sturdy and durable playing surfaces, it is also less susceptible to the greatest effects of Mother Nature.
Many of you might have a court installed already. That is not a problem! Slabs can be installed right over existing asphalt or clay courts, eliminating pricey construction costs. Post Tensioned Concrete Courts are ideal for new construction on active New England soils.
Cushion Extreme
Does your body ache? Is your performance level not where it should be? These problems can be solved with our Cushion Extreme surface, a new level of cushioned court comfort. Cushion Extreme has twice the cushion as the U.S. Open courts, yet the playability is practically the same.
To eliminate dead spots, hollow sounds, cracks, and give a true bounce, the rubber cushion is poured to insulate your asphalt. We also use recycled tire rubber and/or shoe rubber as the cushion foundation. This method not only protects your asphalt but also prevents the harmful oxidation from the sun’s UV rays.
Performance Court 300
We have the perfect solution for a cracked court AND to eliminate future cracking: our Performance Court 300. One of our easiest surfaces to be installed, it does not require large construction equipment, so you’ll have less damage to your lawn. Performance Court 300 also has a 3-year warranty and be applied on asphalt, concrete, wood, indoor, and outdoor. To provide you with a true ball bounce and to eliminate dead spots and hollow sounds, we fully adhere it to your court. Take full advantage of your playing comfort and add years to your game with Performance Court 300.
At Hinding Tennis we fully believe that your court should only elevate your game. Interested in any of the listed court surfaces? Contact us for more information.
